The year 2000 was a great one for the Alumni and Fans of the Oklahoma Sooners! A National Championship, an undefeated season and BEST OF ALL a Grand 63-14 trouncing of the hated texas longhorns! Can 2001 be any better? Well, we think so. Things have changed this year and all for the better. You can now order your tickets online through our web site www.ouclubofdallas.com or pay by credit card with our order form in the brochure. This will help speed your orders and you will need speed this year as all indications point to early sellouts in many events especially accommodations at the DoubleTrees. 2001 will welcome back everyone's favorite "Bodacious Barbecue" of Longview TX, our longtime caterer and at a new location. Our new site will be the Smirnoff Music Center (formerly Starplex) located just south of the Fair Grounds outside of the First Ave. gate and directly across from our bus parking area. The money raised through our OU-Texas Weekend events has enabled your club to permanently endow a scholarship fund for Dallas/North Texas students going to OU. The club also makes donations to university projects, academic programs, and funds athletic and band scholarships. September 25, 2001: Due to mailing schedules and time constraints it is no longer possible to order tickets for this year's OU/tx Weekend and still be able to receive them in time, other than for the Really Really Really BIG Beat Texas Party. Remember that there are no tickets for the RRRBBT party; there will be a separate entrance for pre-pays. However, tickets for the Pride BBQ and Beat Texas Dance may still be purchased ( subject to availability, NO credit cards) at the Thursday night Happy Hour. Also, tickets for the Beat Texas Dance and the Really Really Really BIG Beat Texas Party may be purchased at the doors Friday night (subject to availability, NO credit cards).
